Greetings all!

Hello good ladies and gentlemen. I am known to the Internet as Ragfell…I am a young Victorian gentleman born after his era, much to my chagrin. Regardless, I realized that I had a steampunk fetish this two years past, when I had to do research concerning H.G. Wells. As this was going on, I saw "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", and resolved to read Jules Verne's "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea", after which I knew I was doomed to forever be a steampunk.
I am incredibly grateful that someone came up with this - going to college in the Nashville area has led to my exposure to many new elements of life, and I truly hope that this is one of them.

Hello hello

My husband and I just moved to the Nashville area. We're both fans of steam and diesel punk and don't know many people here. Are there any steampunk groups here we could join up with?

Thank you.

Greetings and Salutations!

To all fellow Belle Epoque enthusiasts and Steampunk aficionados...

I now have the pleasure of joining you in this lovely region we call Middle Tennessee, and I am looking for YOU.  Indeed, I am seeking individuals who are in need of a haven, an exhibition hall of sorts, for this art we call Steampunk.  I have such a place, but it needs YOU to call it home.

Please feel free to contact me with your interests... your art, your costume, your inventions.  Especially seeking those with something expert to display!

More to come...

Hi! Just joined!

Just got here to Nashville, right before Christmas. It's great to see there's a steampunk community, here. I only recently became interested in steampunk, and am enjoying the style in fashion, writing and gaming.

Just wanted to say hi! And thanks for creating the community!

A Commission

 Hi there!

I am a drama director for a middle school, and we are producing "Beauty and the Beast" this spring.

Some of you may recall from the film that Belle's father Maurice makes a complicated contraption to take to the fair.

I've seen some brilliant things come out of the Nashville steampunk community and thought this might be the perfect project for someone.

I can't pay much. But I can either cover all materials or allow you to keep it when you're done. And of course I will give you lots of publicity.

You can comment here if interested.

Hey y'all!

I have seriously thought I was the only Steamy lass in Music City!
It's the holidays, come out, come out wherever you are! Let's do something fun! Like stroll Opryland in costume, or have a winter picnic at the Parthenon, see Cheekwood's holiday dressing in our own festive attire!
Let's make a little Holiday magic, Steampunk style!

The Void Company

Dear friend,

The Void Company is having its first meeting tomorrow (4 November) in Market Square! Not much is planned for tomorrow, with the exception of socializing and fleshing out ideas of how to make a regular occurrence in the Knoxville area. Please come with ideas, as we are just trying to organize, not command.

We will be meeting at 5pm at the Woman's Suffrage Monument Around 5:30 we should be moving to somewhere in the square to sit and socialize. If you arrive late, you can call myself at 423.539.8656, or wander around a bit. I'm sure we will stand out and be quite obvious.

Have a great evening and we are excited to see this unfold tomorrow.

Greetings all!

I must say I am both astonished and gratified to see such swift growth in our new association, and would like to welcome all of you to this new community. I am myself fairly new to steampunk, but am not one to shirk from action when I see a need to be met, and so therefore began this group.

My initial thought in forming the community was to find other like-minded souls in the local area and perhaps begin some local gathering at which those interested might enjoy each other's company and share our notes, ideas, and creations. Would anyone be interested in attending such a meeting should it be organized, and what sort of function would we like to create should we do so?

I've seen some very interesting activities from other groups, from Sunday picnics with croquet to push-car derbies, and would be thrilled to hear ideas for possible events for our area.

Once again, welcome!
